Honors Diploma 26-27
To qualify for a WCSD Honors Diploma, a student must meet all of the WCSD Traditional Diploma requirements and complete each additional requirement below.

Complete ONE of the following from each section:

  • English – CE English 1010, AP Language Arts, or CE Englis 2010 
  • Math – CE Math course of CE Math 1030 or higher as listed on UTU’s GE requirements, AP Calculus, or AP Statistics
  • Science – CE Life Science or Physical Science as listed on the UTU’s GE requirements or AP Science
  • Social Science – CE Social and Behavioral Science course as listed on UTU’s GE requirements or AP Psychology

Complete any combination of two of the following: 

  • Complete a CE Fine Arts course, as listed on UTU’s GE requirements
  • Complete a CE Lit/Humanities course, as listed on UTU’s GE requirements or AP Literature
  • Complete a CE American Institutions course, as listed on UTU’s GE requirements, AP US History, or AP US Government
  • Complete an additional Life or Physical Science requirement from above
  • Complete English 2010 (if not used to complete the Language Arts section above

Valedictorian and Salutatorian
  1. You must take Honors Diploma courses and have a 3.8 cumulative GPA or above.
  2. GPA (multiplied by 10) + ACT (highest composite score) = your index score 
  3. 2 points will be given for each completed AP course and Concurrent Enrollment course with a passing grade in Language Arts, Science, Social Science, and Math. 
  4. 1 point will be given for each Honors course with a passing grade.
  5. 1 point will be given for a third year or beyond of a Foreign Language. 
  6. Determination will be made at the end of third quarter of senior year.
  7. No grade replacement allowed.
