Pine View High Intervention (RTI) Program
*Updated February 9, 2012
The RTI Program is intended to help identify students who are struggling academically and provide a means for these students to get the extra help necessary in order to succeed. A lunch time intervention time, that is 35 minutes in length, will be made available four days on certain weeks that the administration sees fit.
Each Thursday, all teachers will have the ability to input into the google doc that Mrs. Adolpho has sent witha list of students who are missing one or more assignments, need extra help, or who are simply not performing to his/her potential. The first day of RTI will be set aside for Non-CRT (first priority is given to classes needed for graduation and second priority is determined by Mrs. Adolpho and Guidance Counselors based on greatest
need), the second day will be for Math, the third day for English, and the fourth day set aside for Science. If you see that the student you need is not listed in any of those days you may input them into the day you would like to meet with them. Mrs. Adolpho will then notify those students the morning of the day that they are to attend RTI. RTI is held from 11:20-11:55 every day that is scheduled unless on assembly schedule. The schedule will be adjusted to fit in the extra time that is needed for the RTI. If you have lunch detention you must go to RTI and that will be counted towards your lunch detention. Students who have not been requested to attend RTI will have a 57 minute lunch unless on assembly schedule.
At the beginning of the RTI session the teacher will input on the google doc to Mrs. Adolpho the attendance of the student and any notes that they see fit to include. Students who do not attend their RTI session will meet with Mrs. Adolpho. Students who repeatedly skip RTI will be referred to Administration for further action.
